I have been using P89V51RD2 in my designs. Untill now I never enabled the 6 clock mode since I never needed that fast performance from this micro. But now, In one product I need to enable it, Flashmagic flashes a warning saying Once this 6 clock mode is enabled It can't be reverted to 12 clock mode by ISP and a parrallel programmer shall be used to revert it back to 12clock mode. I am afraid of trying this option since I don't have a parrallel programmer for reverting back to 12 clock mode. Is there any other way to bring the micro back to 12 clock mode?

Acoording to the datasheet a SFR named FST [ Flash status word ] has bit EDC [ Enable Double clock ]. and when set it indicates 6 clock mode. Is it possible to switch in between 6 clock and 12 clock mode by setting and clearing this EDC bit inside the running program.
