#81186 - RE: pwr on/off a device with shared input
Responding to: ???'s previous message
a CMOS flip/flop and a few gates do not use much current and can be left on. So, make the uC detect that Play/stop is pressed for 2 secs (or whatever) and then flip the flop. Then make the button (gated with off) flop the flop. Let the flip-flop control a mosfet in series with the power. You will need to RC debounce the ON. In addition you will need a RC reset of the FF to handle power being disconnected and reconnected.
