Absolutely! eg, if you use a GSM module, you may well find that the Data Sheet tells you that you must not simply turn off power to the module; you must provide a "turn-off" signal to the module, and then wait until the module confirms that it is safe to remove the power. If you don't do this, you may well trash the module's configuration and/or the SIM. Or, if you are managing writes to a non-volatile memory, you may well not want to allow the user to switch off at any arbitrary time. etc, etc, etc... |
