Sure you can join these two pins and I doubt the micro will go up in smoke, but it is not recommended. Do you want your pcb to work, or be flaky as hell? If you're pushed for space, use a PLD like a GAL, they're dirt cheap. I know which way I'd be going. If you don't believe us - try it -be daring, live on the edge like the guys that overclock cpus. So what if your PC is unreliable? When it works, it's damn fast! |
