#81968 - Headaches or not... Responding to: ???'s previous message |

The idea was not mine, was taken from elecktor magazine from an expansion board for the '52 system. It's a bit critical. It all depends on whether logical high state of /WR or /RD line is provided by strong active pull-up or not. I could imagine that some faster '52 derivatives have the strong pull-ups permanently activated (I mean the use of standard push-pull configuration). Then the direct connection of /WR and /RD line will result in destruction! I would not proceed without an additional gate. Directly connecting both lines would cause some headaches... Kai |
