#82121 - Find a suitable cpu
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I couldn't find enough tech data on this chip to give a firm opinion. On the surface it looks like you need to find a micro that has a clocked serial port that can run at 10MHz and has DMA or some other method to buffer the data. Failing that, use a fpga to do the nasty work - or as I suggested earlier - use the ethernet as most of the ethernet chips have the means of buffering the data for you. You're more likely to find code and ethernet chips to interface to a 8051! Sounds like the long way around - but it may be faster to reach your goal.

This is the work involved in 'interfacing' - if everything just glued togther without a thought, I'd be without a job!

How do you think you will solder the BGA package??
