According to my IT guy, a little known fact is that in many cases clicking "cancel" on a pop-up instead of the 'x' in the topright corner can install whatever nefarious stuff the pop-up generator may want to install on your PC. Not really. Most popups I have encountered, use a clickable image. So, whether you click Ok or cancel or use the dropdown, you actually are clicking a single link. Best way out is just close the window using the X associated with the window (Not the imaged X). Installing nefarious stuff usually is targetted to the Win platform as far as I know. Jerson |
