#8354 - Emus are not without restrictions
Lucky Olaf,

that you can use Emus.

I think, that I can use it, was impossible in most cases. Thus why I work without it generally.

My problems:
- I use many different derivates and outlines (DIP40, SO20, TQFP44, ...)
- I build analog designs, which sensitive against digital noise coupled in.
- I build high voltage designs, which float at up to 5000Volts
- Thus, often no space around the micro and often the whole pcb must be complete encapsulated also during test and developing (noise and safety reasons)
- I use often many micros in a gadged (e.g. 10). I think, its not easy to emulate many micros simultaneous.

How easy is it to connect an Emu to a soldered TQFP-44 device ?
I think, it is easier to reprogram the internal flash over a serial bus.

Peter
