#83849 - Interfacing the 8051 with a CRO
I must really apologiize for the problem that i have caused yesterday. I must really apologize for any inconvinence that i might have caused by my premature posting of question on the forum.

I am putting up my problem now in a more legtimate and comprehensive manner. Hope its perfect and dont cause problems this time.

1.I am supposed to use a normal dual channel scope that is available in any lab ( i.e. it should have no special functions as storage or frequency counter etc. It should be a normal dual channel scope)

2. I need to draw a line of 1cm every time untill i can draw line at all the points which are etched on the CRO screen to enable count. This can be random and at any place at any given time.

3.i have tried putting potetiometers and trirf putting in 5 volts
>inputs at both the chanels, while the the CRO is in dual and XY mode selected. I was able to move the the point display genrated at this time to any point on the CRO screen by varying the potentiometers. Now i am confused as to how to draw the line by using 8051.

4. i found a chip called intel 8275 which is a CRO interface circuit used with the 8086, does 8051 also have such kind of a chip
