#84772 - Integrators
Responding to: ???'s previous message

The VECTREX circuit used a real integrator (an opamp), with capacitor feedback shortable by a analog switch to enable fast changes of the output signal.

Yes, I know also applications using integrators. In an earlier post I wrote:

By the way, I remember that in the early eighties we once had to display the content of a PROM on scope using 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' inputs. We didn't use any real DAC, only a weigthed 'ladder-DAC', an '9368' and some LSTTL-chips. Worked very nicely and looked highly accurate...

Here, integrators were used, too, to draw the very short tracks of individual segments of the seven segment digits. Integrators were implemented extremely simple, not using any OPamp circuit, but nevertheless providing nearly linear changes and by this constant brightness.
