The Philips version stem from the days Philips and Intel were "'51 friends". This ended when the roads separated and one fork ended with the 251 and the other with the XA.
So I went to the home of '51 Hardly. Intel has virtually abandoned the '51 the wunnerful and exotic new derivatives comes from the likes of Philips and SILabs. Shouldn't we at least credit the originator of '51/'52 and its original, still valid documenation? Since no credit is given, why add one? ANT "credit" would, most likely, make some not appreciate the universality of "the bible" (not manyfacturer dependent). (Although not too suitable for download, being a scanned paper-book, having 15MB+...) The Philips version has the major advantage that you can download ch1, 2 and 3 and do not need to download a lot of datasheets for outdated derivatives. Erik |
