I have looked at the Hi-tech, but excluded it from my initial test because their demo is "limited to 500 lines of generated assembler or 512 bytes, whichever is less".

The reason why I dont test for runtime is that I specifically set all optimizer options towards small code size. Code size will be the main issue in our application. Time critical parts of the app I will solve in assembler if needed.
