#8595 - RE: which 8051 C compiler again again |
I tried your code Peter, but it wont compile without errors on my IAR demo.
I guess I could try to modify the code so it can be compiled under the compilers i have, but I wont. Since the code I use for my tests are a module of a real application too. Ive modified it so I can compile the EXACT same code on IAR, KEIL and RIDE. Which IMO is the only way a true benchmark can be achived. It would be cool if you would change your code so it can compile under atleast IAR which I consider the one compiler which gets closest to Keil in terms of performance. Trying the compilers on a wide set of C code would be nice. IAR have the advangtage of supporting a wide range of uC's. which in case of need for cross compiling could be an advangtage. Henrik |
