Today while reading the forum, I had noticed that on main page there is a thread "Off topic but may be useful..." which says that it has 3 replies and last reply is from Arif Deshmukh at 2:41PM (sorry its my local time, may be irrelevant for others).
When I open this thread in new window, it only contains 2 replies. I can't see any reply from Arif. That was because the messages were posted from an Internet address range that, in the past, has been the source of abuse in the forum. As such, it is flagged so that any message posted from that address range must first be approved by Steve or myself before it is visible to everyone. Unfortunately, the nature of the database is such that you do see it in the "number of replies" and "last reply" fields on the main page but won't actually see the messages in the thread until they've been approved by Steve or myself. http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=83747
When I click the link in above thread (to report this issue in an appropriate thread), the link opens in flat php-BB style while my account setting is set to "Tradational 8052 style" That is very strange. I view the website in phpBB style but I just changed back to "traditional" to test this. When I try it in traditional mode, the message does come up in traditional mode--not phpBB mode. Are you 100% sure? Regards, Craig Steiner |
