#87304 - Loader for DS89C420/30/40/50 |
There has been considerable discussion on this forum regarding loader software for the DS89C420, DS89C430, DS89C440, and DS89C450 microcontrollers. As of the moment, it seems that Dallas Semiconductor's own Microcontroller Toolkit (MTK) is the only option for performing in system programming of these devices. I have been looking for a command line loader for a while now, both so I could have something that would work well from inside of Keil uVision2, and so that I could readily load devices from a script. I searched the Internet, and even called Dallas Semiconductor (who said "it's coming, someday"), but never managed to find anything.
So, I decided to set out on my own; the result is 89C4x0ldr-lite, a simple, small, easy-to-use command line loader. A screen shot of 89C4x0ldr-lite in action is below: ![]() 89C4x0ldr-lite may be downloaded free of charge. I would sincerely appreciate any constructive feedback on this software, especially bug reports. --Sasha Jevtic |
