#87353 - why Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I am making an 89c51 programmer
WHY?, most any recent derivative is ISP/ICP/JTAG programmable, Also the datasheet for 89C51 state: "Not recommended for new designs. Use AT89S51.". and the 'S' is an ISP chip If anyone has any interesting approaches to this problem please do get in touch with me. Yes, it leaves you stuck with ancient chips since all (most?) manufacturerers have had enough experience with kitchen table programmers to not release parallel programming info any more. I'll put up the code on this website if my thing works. WHY? You want to program, by outdated means, a chip that is "Not recommended for new designs", who would have ANY interest? Erik |
