What's more amusing... someone is trying to build a tool, which admittedly will be a little use to the professional embedded uC engineer, and is offering to enrich the community by donating the fruit of his labors to the common good, and is getting discouraged for it... on a site dedicated to a 25 year old uC architecture that is substantially unchanged in that period of time. 89C51's are probably cheap in quantity at the local electronic component junk dealer. Not useful for news designs, but perfect for hobby types that will only build a few dozen 8052 circuits in their life. So why discourage him? It doesn't compete with professional works, and only enriches the community. Unless you're trying to sell serial programmers... |
