89C51's are probably cheap in quantity at the local electronic component junk dealer. Not useful for news designs, but perfect for hobby types that will only build a few dozen 8052 circuits in their life.
so he will save $1 on the chips and spend $50 building a programmer. So why discourage him? It doesn't compete with professional works, and only enriches the community. Unless you're trying to sell serial programmers... You, obviously, have no idea what ISP is - there is no such thing as a "serial programmer" ISP is In System Programming = no need for ANY programmer. Erik |
