There are many reasons to use a particular mcu - the most obvious are price and availability (in required amount and time). For example, the AT89C2051 here is cheaper than a bottle of Coke and can be bought over the counter in each other drugstore (ok, maybe not quite each other... :-), and neither of these can be said about parts you and Prahlad have mentioned. The original post was not "I cannot do" but "how to do" and Peter has shown, how. While it is good to be aware of alternatives, it is also good to know the potentially much simpler solutions.
