What does ICE mean?

In Circuit Emulator

An emulator let you see what happen when your code run on an actual chip on your actual board.

Do not confuse with a simulator which, although having a very similar display, let you see what happen when your code run in an artificial environment on your PC.

A simulator can be valuable in working out general problems (e.g. why does the RPM calculator give the wrong result), but only an emulator and help you with specific problems (e.g. why does the RPM not get stored from the port)
