#88499 - WEOT Motor Rewind |
A buddy at work brought in a single phase, capacitive start motor out of a garage door opener, the gearbox of which gave up the ghost.
We found, on removing the end bells, there are 24 poles. We got to thinking we might be able to rewind the motor so it would support a three phase, variable frequency, variable voltage drive. If we undertook the task, we'd be inerested to just make it work as opposed to match a specific speed torque curve. Has anyone done a rewind like that before? If so, what advice might you give Bruce |
