#88545 - rewinding Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Raghunathan
For me it was fun because i could use the winding macine of a friend who is electro mechanic and he did final fixation of the windings in his oven for me. If you don't fix them they start swinging and break or try "jump to the rotor". So for me it was some educational experience but had no real practical use (I know how to rewind a 3 phase motor now). But I also know that a rotor built for 2 phase will not work for 3 phase, well it was turning but the motor was 0.75 kW and I could easily stop it by hand while it was getting very hot. It took 0.95kW from the Power line. I think if Bruce is interrested in 8051 he should stay on building an inverter for less then € 25 and this will giv him the fun. And this is possibel. Bruce if you really want to rewind the moror contact me via email and tell me the motor data and I will ask my friend to do the calculation for you. He is in buissenes for 45 years now and he is helpfull. Have fun Peter |
