Has is the clock to the LM628 generated? You mention it is from the 8051 - how? How is the reset to this device generated? Is your bus timing correct? Don't assume anything! When things don't make sense, it's time to stop and look carefully at every aspect - check and measure. Is there an abort input on the LM628? This might be causing it to stop whatever command is in progress. Many times I've been caught by weird problems simply because I didn't read the datasheet carefully enough! Like Steve, I haven't used this part. |
