Life is a struggle. More so for some than others. But witness the hardships people endured just a hundred years ago compared to today. Life, in general, is becoming easier and more enjoyable. Some of this improvement has come in large steps brought about by famous people - but much improvement in the quality of life has come about by less famous people such as you and I. There are a lot more "normal" people than famous people so we probably have collectively brought about more improvement.
I develop electronic instruments (using 8051's) that makes life easier and safer for thousands of others and I think this is both enjoyable and worthwhile. Bert van den Berg |
