Apparently, we have come full circle - the latest, fastest fighters are using analogue computers again for flight surface control, they are faster than any digital processor apparently. There are evidently things that an analogue computer can't do, but we do tend to think we must use a digital method when 50 c worth of analohue bits might do the job better. But Analogue design is much more difficult to learn than digital, and its an art. Steve |
