#89648 - valves and tubes Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There was a time before the silicon and germanium, op amps
could be (and was) made with valves (is that the proper word in english? I'm actually old enough to have used that type of op amps in school, maybe made by Philbrick?? "Valves" is correct Oxford English (UK), in Webster english (USA) it is "tubes" Yes, it was Philbrick. The analog guru Bob Pease still talks about them. Nice to know I am not the only geriatric here :) Erik |
