#90161 - Simple RC-filters might help
Responding to: ???'s previous message
How much current runs through the solenoid? How much current runs into the LPC932 board? May be simple RC filters can do the job. One for the solenoid, another for the LPC932 board.

But in any case you will need this flywheel diode! Current rating of this diode has to do with current running through the solenoid. The peak current through this diode is as high as maximum current through solenoid. From this you can estimate what diode is needed.
Take care that this diode is not too slowly. The faster the Fet turns-off the solenoid the faster the flywheel diode must be. This stuff can very well be observed by the help of a simple scope, by the way...
