#9080 - RE: Closing very old threads |
Steve, I have thought about that too.
Someone proposed a couple months ago having the forum automatically bring to the front page any threads that have new activity--or perhaps order the threads by "last post" date. I've thought about these options and they'd definitely be user-configurable so if you prefer the current format, that'd be available; or if you prefer they be ordered by last post, you'd have that option. I guess the question is: Is it good to let old threads be "revived" by accepting new posts? Or is it better to have threads automatically close themselves after a few weeks or months of no posts? Any new posts would need to be posted in a new thread... Input is welcome. Craig Steiner |
