Visible light sensor, as a most simple sensor circuit for me, was chosen in this first trial. My objective is to install it onto a car-like robot that find its own way to move in a area, without touching any obstacle. Before that I have to finish the ultrasonic ranging module first. I want the robot "scan" the area in front of it once (180 degrees) by ultrasound and send the converted data back to my PC and plot it with a graph.
In this stage the visible light sensor is only a series of resistors and one CDS. Say, if the reading from the right sensor is greater then that from the left, it will turn right.The MPU keep on comparing data from the ADC. So there is no "range" for it, because it just do comparation. Stanley |
