#93851 - Simple is better Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I think Prahlad has very briefly but precisely answered you. He is correct and so are the others when they commented on the arm stuff - it is damn complex to replicate the human arm.
As I said in the previous thread of yours, keep the hardware part simple but try to prove a concept in a innovative way. Even a pick and place robot with 64 possible combinations is not as easy as it appears. I have seen some of these always return to home after doing anything and always move in two straight axes only. Childish! Now that is the obvious solution - just make it smart by making it move in diagonals and in the shortest vector from the current position to the new position. In any case thats how industrial pick and place gadgets work. And if you can program it to sort 32 black + 32 white pieces on the grid in a predetermined pattern it is still fine. You think it is simple ? Raghu |
