#93861 - How about this one? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi,
I like your courage, for thinking of something so deep... but i'll have to agree with the rest of the guys for making you aware of the complexity you will have to deal with with your project. You said you only have a ten month period in your project, and May is now over, so soon you will be reduced down to nine months. So coming with a robot idea, to you maybe it looked like simple/challenging, but you never thought of "The unexpected". and this involves from changing the whole idea to redesigning the methods. that gets complicated. The truth of the story.... YOU CAN'T FINISH IT IN 10 MONTHS. unless you don't have a girlfriend, younger siblings and friends, then maybe you can attempt it. But if you feel like designing a robot, my best suggest is just to make a simple stuff... You can build up your ideas to complexity once you have completed your studies. My opinion will to be to make an Light/IR chaser. Just get some toys from LEGO, design an IR Tx'er and 2 IR Rx'ers, then implement/control the motors in your toy. TO archieve this you must have learned about filters. Put one IR-Receiver(or Light Receiver) in the Left Hand Side the other in the RHS of your toy. Make it in a way that when there is no IR-detection your toy does not move. and when it senses the IR, it should determine which side is more exposed to the light and move to that side. Therefore if it is placed in the middle(that is 90 degrees to receivers) then it should move straight. if is at 0 degrees then it should make a sharp turn to the right and at 180 degrees will make a sharp turn to the left. That should be easier, and less complicated. Lehuma Nthite |
