#94351 - Assess your requirements
Responding to: ???'s previous message
What can I do?

Write your code to be endian-neutral, if necessary.

How would you do it?

I would assess my requirements, determining 'where' the encryption and decryption are being performed and decide whether I need to accommodate systems that order bytes differently from one another. You've seen as a possible source of error how results differ on a little-endian PC and a big-endian 8051 implementation. Now, do/should you care? If your cryptographic needs are between 8051 systems, then you shouldn't necessarily be concerned about it.
