#95218 - goal Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The original Goal design was called Versa and it was a four-clocker. The new ones are single-clockers (based on the cycle-time mix it is the CAST core). However, the clock frequency is quite "low" (I don't remember exactly but - was it around 16MHz?...) Nevertheless, I was quite disapointed by the performance of the 2-clock LPCs, too. Being only 12-18MHz, they are outperformed by some of the 4-clockers running at higher frequencies - and also they are quite expensive, too. <advertisement>A comparison of high speed '51 is on my 8052.com homepage.</advertisement> Jan Waclawek |
