1) do not do this on a fixed price, you do not know the pitfalls> I do an "unknown" on fixed price once and at the end found that I had made $0.83/hour.
2) before enything is said or done, have a look at the datasheet fornulate a couple of questions and "test" the support from the chipmaker. In working with something for the first time that can be the most important thing of all.
