I may be misunderstanding you (again), but do I take it that you are not familiar with the term "firmware?"
"Firmware" is the term used to describe "software" that is stored in ROM (or PROM, or EPROM, etc). Thus just about all the on-topic "software" that's described here is, in fact, "firmware!" If this is the case, then you already are a Firmware Man - you just didn't know it! |
