Yes, the site automatically makes offsite backups of everything uploaded to user directories--normally as a backup against hackers but I guess we've found a new use for it now. I'll restore the graphics linked-to from his messages in this forum. I will not, however, restore any HTML/documents that he may have had there. I do consider images uploaded to user pages and linked to from the forum to be an integral part of the forum posts, though, so I personally do not see it as inappropriate to restore the directory so that those messages remain readable.
