I have earned a development board from keil (ARM based MCB2130) Not sure why you've come to an 8051 forum, then...?! I'm sure you'll be getting some "-1: Off-Topic" votes... The ARM is a 32-bit processor; A lot of general embedded systems stuff will apply equally to ARM and 8051, but the specific details & restrictions of the 8051 will be irrelevant to ARM. I really don't get meaning from the language just from the examples Of course not - development kits are not designed to teach you programming! I'll pay for a course. Excellent! This is by far the best way to learn! I have two choices:
- a C/C++ 60h course, but PC oriented - a C 24h course for PIC controllers using the CCS tools what do you think is more adequate for a foundation? As James said, Take Both! The first should give you a thorough introduction to the language; the second should introduce you to the particularities of small-scale embedded systems. But again note that the specific PIC details will not help you with either ARM or 8051! For ARM-specfic information, go to http://www.arm.com |
