#97867 - Thanks for the advice!
Responding to: ???'s previous message

some clarifications:

- I should have marked the message as off-topic

- I am aware that controllers have differences in registers, memory mapping, memory access, architecture, etc and that differences reflect on the C language

- I asked in that forum because I know that many (most?) users here use C for programming and many use the Keil tools.

I need a common ground for my programming, and that will be the C language. Since Keil uvision is a very popular IDE it won't hurt too using it.

Finding a C course for controllers wasn't easy. so even the PIC would help. Fortunately after 3 hours googling I could find a C course for '51 based controllers in my city.

That will help a lot... I did some usefull things programming 8051 in assembly and that will make difference. Instead of watching a movie spoken in german with subtitles in french, now the subtitles will be in portuguese (my mother tongue).

thanks!!!
