#98101 - thanks for the inputs!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I do small projects with microcontrollers for hobby.

8051 is my preferred, but sometimes I can get some development boards from another devices (like the ARM board that was given to me) and I like to try what I can do.

asm is ok for blinking LEDs or other small stuff. gets difficult to learn it just for blinking LEDs or read push-buttons. so I hope do most of the work using C and delving in assembly for very specific tasks.

I'll buy a "learn yourself" book also, probably the one indicated by erik (programming in C).

I really appreciate all advices and the warning of possible "traps" when dealing with C and microcontrollers.
