Not at all.
The PC's parallel port was integrated on the MDA ("graphic" card - it was text only...) and addressed 3BC-3BF (that resulted from the address decoder of MDA). It contained standard 74xx chips - see e.g. http://www.epanorama.net/documents...matic.html

AFAIK, no 8255 in PC.
