Can we put to rest your assertion that the 8255 was designed for x86 processors - it was designed for the MCS80 range (8080). A small point indeed, but you like to keep things black and white.
ok, even further back so "it is designed for the x86 interface" should be "it is designed for an early version of the x86 interface used in the 8080 processors" Got it Erik |
