#100248 - the chip manufacturers have become wise Responding to: ???'s previous message |
the chip manufacturers have become wise to the help desk cost of supporting kitchen table programmers, not to mention the complaints resulting from chips losing program because of nonstandard programming, and do thus not release parallel programming info to anyone but "certified programmer manufacturers" for ISP chips.
Thus, if you want to parallel program, you must buy a programmer. Anyhow, the "normal" way to implement "private" bootloaders is just to put them in high memory, why do you need to overwrite the built in bootloader? Erik |
