Exactly Jan.

Erik is old-fashioned with outmoded ideas.
He is not keep informed of new modern technologies.

Other issue i discovered, not great but i know for sure that lot of people do not do this:

When using FLIP, disable Erase and Blank check,
otherwise it halves the lifetime of your Atmel devices.
(for me AT89C5131) Reading the manual, you can read the Flash cells do auto-erase before starting programming.

Do you know this?
