Higher current pulsing surely gives larger signal. But considering filtering, ie. averaging, the duration we can use for averaging is reduced on the pulsing method. If we want to maintain self-heating in pulsing method as much as DC one, the quantity of information after filtering, ie. S/N, is the same as DC method.
In other word, if we want to maintain S/N, we cannot reduce self-heating using pulsing method. Therefore, pulsing method has no advantage on both of self-heating and S/N. It's the same as DC measurement. Tsuneo |
