#119850 - my first P89C668 is dead
Responding to: ???'s previous message
So my conclusion:

There is no 100% safe way to develop your own custom bootloader.

The szenario seems to be the following:

The emergency exit routine starts the Philips bootloader and I started FlashMagic to reprogram a new custom bootloader.
Just in this moment VCC was interrupted uninentionally.

I think, that FlashMagic has already erased the bootvector but not reprogrammed to the 0xFC value and thus now the bootvector point into the nirwana forever.

Please watch, that whenever you start FlashMagic, any bootvector different to 0xFC was erased and reprogrammed to 0xFC without any choice !!!

The reasond, why I must switch from Atmel to Philips was, that my current project need 6kB SRAM.
