#121767 - Barbecue?

Also, to my surprise when i try to use a voltmeter to measure between the P1.0 and GND pin of the MCU, i still get approximately +5V even though i pulled the P1.0 to low by setting P1.0 = 0. Can someone please explain why does this happens and tell me where is my mistake.

Well, it seems that you have fried the port cirtcuitry of P1.0 while experimenting with this buzzer. Eventually you have a very low impedant buzzer and have it connected to the port without current limiting resistor for a while?
You can check this as follows:
Disconnect everything of this buzzer stuff from P1.0 and check by a high ohmic voltmeter: Does port P1.0 emit low or high level when you write 0 or 1 into the according SFR now?
