#121988 - not a metter of apology Responding to: ???'s previous message |
So, please accept my apologise, you, Erik and all the others who are trying to help.
This is not a matter of apology. it is a matter of Eugene subbornly refusing to answer simple questions. I do believe that I am not the only one that feel less inclined to help someone when every suggesttion/question get totally ignored by the OP and instead he post some totally unrelated information (usually another question). There has been a few threads where the guesses resulted in tens of posts that proved totally wrong when the OP finally answered a question. When I said: guessing the current is below 5A..., I was trying to say: this is not a guess, it can't be higher than this... I just didn't see this as a guess. So, I am sorry if you and Erik understood it that way, but I was not trying to guess! Yes you were, you guessed that the current would be less than 5A. What if the device is designed based on the idea that the internal resistance in the batteries, it is intended to work from, will limit the current? It may be that it will not work without a (complex?) series resistance simulating a batterys internal resistance. No this is NOT a fancy flight to prove you wrong, there are devices that will work from battery, but not from a power supply of the same voltage. As Eugene's experiments didn't make a big sense, maybe we could come up with a circuit that doesn't depends on these experiments or values. and next time Eugene will be just as lost as he is now. Eugene need to realize that without measurements (in lieu of data) no device can be designed to be reliable (27 ohm series to a port pin OUCH!) Erik |
