The last proposed circuit should work fine, independently of the current drawn by the buzzer and it's wave form, as long as this current is below 5A (with spikes of 8A)!!! Is that so hard to guess?!
then what if it is 1uA then the leakage will keep the buzzer on constantly.

Why guess, do you design by guessing, I hope not.
