#121975 - We just do not want to guess!!

Is that so hard to guess?!

If you refer to only one of Eugene's posts, then your suggestion with this TIP makes sense. But when you take all the other posts from him into account too, then you get something totally confusing!

Example: He states, that the buzzer alarm is powered by three 1.5V batteries, has a strange three terminal component across the buzzer and that he experiences electroshocks, when he touches the buzzers' terminals. This makes one believe, that the buzzer needs a very high amplitude to make the needed noise, and that this autotransformer circuitry is needed to generate the high amplitudes.
But then he told us, that he needed a 27 Ohm base resistor to fully turn-on the transistor, and that a somewhat higher base resistor was destroying the loud sound again.

This makes no sense at all, Leonardo!

Eugene is a newbie and I guess, that he makes mistakes with the experimenting again and again. So, what Erik suggested is extremely useful, because it offers us a way to check out what's going on, whitout needing to trust the strange experimenting results of Eugene.

If Eugene, which is a newbie, is not following the advices given by us professionals and he is making so many mistakes when experimenting, then there's no way to give help. And, to be honest, I and many others here are not willing to fight through an endless number of confusing posts, only because the O/P is not willed to make a stupid simple check!
