This is probably the exception to the rule that comments shouldn't simply re-state the instruction!

This comes from a beginners book - so it probably does need to explain what the instruction itself does!

Update:

But, if he feels the need to explain such a simple instruction as CPL, why does he not explain DJNZ - which is altogether more involved!

No, it does look like just a case of having a comment on the line just for the sake of it. :-(
